The Australian Water Association is organizing an odours specialty conference by the end of August 2010 with the sponsoring of MWH and EGL.
The aim of the conference is to contribute to the existing knowledge base for the industry and to achieve a joint understanding of how best to implement the changes that are to be demanded.
Presentations are being sought for the following broad categories:
- Detection and measurement of volatile emissions from industrial and municipal STPs
- Management of odours from wastewater treatment of food, chemicals and petrochemical industries
- Plumes, dispersion modeling,
- Bio-aerosols and health risks
- Experiences in meeting regulatory requirements and changes to volatile emissions laws.
Papers on experiences managing odours fromsource through treatment processes either leading to mitigation, remediation or control by industry;case studies, and experiences associated with dealing with changes to emissions regulations.

To compliment the presentations by keynote and invited speakers, AWA is asking members and non-members to submit an Abstract for Papers covering, but not limited to the following topic areas:
