wef odors 2018The WEF has just announced the opening of the call for abstracts for the largest odor conference in US. The final date for abstract reception is September, 7, 2017. This conference will once again bring together environmental professionals from around the world for a showcase on odors and air pollutants management.

The Air Quality and Odor Control (AQOC) Committee of the Water Environmental Federation (WEF) is a very active team of the WEF that counts on around 80 members. Every other year they organize the largest conference on environmental odor management and this time they will organize their next event in March 2018 in Portland.

wef 2018  This conference will once again bring together environmental professionals from around the world for a  showcase on odors and air pollutants management. The biennial Odor Conference is designed to educate practitioners, facility owners, operators, researchers, and public administrators about current odor issues, including regulatory requirements and methods for analyzing problems and finding solutions.

   Targeting the Pacific Northwest, the 2018 Odors and Air Pollutants Conference is designed to foster informed decision-making, networking to share effective control of odors and air pollutants, and innovative approaches. The conference's technical program includes both real-life experiences and lessons learned as well as cutting-edge technologies and research.  The conference will include oral presentations, interactive discussions, posters, a pre-conference workshop, exhibits, mobile sessions, and several opportunities for networking in dynamic settings.

II workshop austria china   Following the successful lead of previous workshops, we have this year another edition of the Chinese-Austrian Workshop on Environmental Odour (Odour Emission - Dispersion - Impact Assessment – Abatement). This time, this event will take place at the University of Science and Technology of Beijing, between 19th & 20th October 2017. This interesting workshop is organized under the auspices of the Eurasia-Pacific Uninet.

   Environmental odour is a major concern of residents in the vicinity of odour sources. This workshop will treat the entire chain from the odour source, the dilution in the atmosphere up to the perception of odour by the nose of residents as well as abatement strategies.
