centc264wg2 meeting 2020 delft   2020 is here and, once again, Working Group 2 of the CEN Technical Committee 264 got to meet in Delft (The Netherlands) the 21st and 22nd of January to discuss the coming revision of the EN 13725. The final draft of the revision process of the Standard EN 13725 on Dynamic Olfactometry was sent to enquiry and many comments have been received from different countries. A document of over 100 pages was produced with all the comments received. The work of the group was at this stage to answer to each one of the comments.

 Secretary and convenor of the group collated a table with every comment and modified and replied to many of the suggestions received. Some comments were left to discussion within the group of 16 experts that got to meet at NEN facilities in Delft.

ILC2019   The company Olfasense has announced, once again, the Interlaboratory Comparison for Olfactometry (ILC) based on EN 13725:2003 for this year 2019. Organizers invite laboratories from different countries to participate in this ILC2017 tests. The registration period has started!

   The participation in this proficiency test (PT) will allow laboratories to confirm compliance to the performance criteria of EN 13725:2003, essential for those laboratories that maintain ISO 17025 accreditation.

 

cen 13724 enquiry   The 17th of December, the final draft of the revision process of the Standard EN 13725 on Dynamic Olfactometry was sent to the CEN secretariat in order to prepare the Enquiry document. The Working Group 2 of the Technical Comittee 264 of the European Committee for Standardization (CEN) had the task of reviewing the existing Standard and it looks like the final draft is ready. 

   This reviewed European Standard has been developed taking into account 284 working documents and 14 meetings of a group of over 20 people. The first meeting took place in Barcelona in November 2012 and after 6 years of discussions, the draft is here. The process of enquiry is a lenghy process that will take a few months, but we expect that the reviewed EN 13725 will be available along next 2019.
