The 10th International Conference on Biotechniques for Air Pollution Control and Biorefinery (Biotechniques‑2026) will take place in Hangzhou, China, from 31 August to 2 September 2026, at the Zhejiang Sanli Kaiyuan Mingdu Grand Hotel. Organised by the BIOENGIN group at the University of A Coruña together with Zhejiang University of Technology, Tsinghua University, Zhejiang Ocean University, and Zhejiang University of Science & Technology, this edition marks the first time the long‑running Biotechniques series moves to China, continuing its biennial tradition after previous meetings in Coruña, Nîmes (France), Ghent (Belgium), Delft (Belgium) Galway (Ireland), and Valladolid (Spain).
Biotechniques‑2026 covers a wide range of topics related to environmental biotechnology, metabolic engineering, bioprocess engineering, and biorefinery processes connected with air pollution control, greenhouse gas mitigation, gas fermentation in bioreactors, and the production or upgrading of (bio)fuels. The conference brings together academic and industrial partners to promote research cooperation, foster innovation, and help move advanced bioprocesses closer to commercialisation and real‑world implementation.
