The 10th International Conference on Biotechniques for Air Pollution Control and Biorefinery (Biotechniques‑2026) will take place in Hangzhou, China, from 31 August to 2 September 2026, at the Zhejiang Sanli Kaiyuan Mingdu Grand Hotel. Organised by the BIOENGIN group at the University of A Coruña together with Zhejiang University of Technology, Tsinghua University, Zhejiang Ocean University, and Zhejiang University of Science & Technology, this edition marks the first time the long‑running Biotechniques series moves to China, continuing its biennial tradition after previous meetings in Coruña, Nîmes (France), Ghent (Belgium), Delft (Belgium) Galway (Ireland), and Valladolid (Spain).

Biotechniques‑2026 covers a wide range of topics related to environmental biotechnology, metabolic engineering, bioprocess engineering, and biorefinery processes connected with air pollution control, greenhouse gas mitigation, gas fermentation in bioreactors, and the production or upgrading of (bio)fuels. The conference brings together academic and industrial partners to promote research cooperation, foster innovation, and help move advanced bioprocesses closer to commercialisation and real‑world implementation.

The Air Pollution Conference Brazil 2026 & 6th CMAS South America will take place from 17 to 19 December 2026 in Vitória, Brazil, at the Sheraton Hotel. This international event will bring together experts to discuss key challenges related to air quality, public health, and climate and energy. Notably, the fifth session will be dedicated exclusively to environmental odours.

The conference is aimed at researchers and professionals from industry, academia, and public institutions worldwide, as well as anyone interested in developing engineering solutions to improve air quality and enhance the quality of life in both urban and rural environments. The call for abstracts remains open until 28 April 2026.

The 11th IWA Conference on Odours and Air Emissions, themed “Where Scent Meets Science: Malaysia Hosts the IWA Odour World Conference,” will take place from November 2-5, 2026, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This (usually) biennial event, organized under the International Water Association, continues a legacy started in 2001 in Sydney, bringing together global experts to tackle odour measurement, regulation, mitigation technologies, and air emission challenges in wastewater, industry, agriculture, and biosolids management.
